Outstanding Service
The Outstanding Service award was created to acknowledge the importance of elevating our customer experience. The winners of this award embody the BH brand image, mission and values, and earn the highest overall customer satisfaction score.
The winners of the Outstanding Service Award for 2021 are:
Pacesetter Award
The Pacesetter Award was created to acknowledge communities that are most successful and serve as a model for performance. The Pacesetter award is given to the top performing communities in each region that outperformed their revenue index.

Philanthropy Award
Philanthropy is an act of goodwill that can strengthen a community, create networks, and impact society as a whole. It also relates directly to our Core Values of Creating Community and Doing Business the Right Way. The award goes to one conventional community or team in each region and one student community or team that has shown the highest level of commitment to fostering the BH mission to give back to our local communities.
The winners of the 2021 Philanthropy Award are:
- #OneBH! The outstanding participation in the 2021 United Way Annual Fundraiser Event was a phenomenal group effort that had to be acknowledged this year!

Above and Beyond Award
The Above and Beyond Award recognizes communities that have exhibited exceptional effort and perseverance during the year. The 2021 Above and Beyond Award winners are:

The BH Excellence Award recognizes conventional apartment communities who rank in the top 25% of the Benchmark Elite Club. The winners for the 2021 BH Excellence Awards are:

Leasing is the gateway to our mission of creating spaces where people live and thrive. The Leasing Star Performer of the Year is awarded to a B.HOM community that has been in the portfolio for a year and reflects superior leasing and marketing results for the year reviewed.
The winner of the 2021 B.HOM Leasing Star Performer of the Year is Aspire Tucson.
Fundraiser of the Year
This year, the Fundraiser of the Year Award winner is The Versailles Apartments.
Circle of Excellence for the Maintenance Supervisor of the Year
Achieving Excellence is not easy to do, but these award winner have done just that. The Circle of Excellence Service Manager award is presented to the Service Manager who best personifies BH’s guiding principles.
The Circle of Excellence for the Service Manager of the Year winner for 2021 for BH is Nicholas Pinchiera.
The Circle of Excellence for the Maintenance Supervisor of the Year winner for 2021 for B.HOM is Corey Moore.
Circle of Excellence for the General Manager of the Year
The definition of Excellence is: The quality of being outstanding. The Circle of Excellence Community Manager award is presented to the Community Manager who best personifies BH’s guiding principles.
The Circle of Excellence for the Community Manager of the Year winner for 2021 for BH is Rosa Andrades.
The Circle of Excellence for the General Manager of the Year winner for 2021 for B.HOM is Chris Cushinberry.
Facilities Leader of the Year
The BH Facilities team is the key to keeping our homes neat, functional, and maintained. The Facilities Leader of the Year award is presented to the Facilities Leader who best personifies BH’s guiding principles.
The 2021 Facilities Leader of the Year is Matt Hogan.
Construction Team Member of the Year
The Construction Team Member of the Year award is presented to the member of the Construction team who best personifies BH’s guiding principles.
The Construction Team Member of the Year award winner is Steven Oldenburg.
Regional Leader of the Year
Our Regional Leaders need to embrace our Core Values every day, Hearing Every Voice and Embracing Evolution at every turn. True superheroes! The Regional Leader award is presented to the member of the regional leadership team who best personifies BH’s guiding principles.
The 2021 Regional Leader of the Year for B.HOM is Nikki Thompson.
The 2021 Regional Leader of the Year for BH is Brandi Sakayam.
Corporate Support Team Member of the Year
Our Corporate Support team members are often the unsung heroes in the background Creating Community within BH and redefining the benchmark for Embracing Evolution. The Corporate Support award is presented to the employee in any Corporate Support division who most positively impacts onsite and regional teams through their initiative, attitude, and overall level of service.
Eligible Team members have been nominated by other BH team members.
The 2021 Corporate Support Team Member of the Year is Megan Erickson.
Center Stage Award
The Center Stage Award is new for 2021 and was created to offer an opportunity to call out someone in a corporate role that offers unparalleled support and knowledge, but without much access to individuals outside their own department. Individuals are nominated by Department Heads – and this year’s winner was nominated three times!
This year’s Center Stage winner is Jennifer Davis.
B.HOM Chairman’s Award
The B.HOM Chairman’s Award winner is Northpoint Crossing 1 & 2.
BH Chairman’s Award
The BH Chairman’s Award winner is San Merano at Mirasol.
B.HOM Most Improved Community of the Year
The B.HOM Most Improved Community of the Year Award winner is The Commons at Knoxville.
