Women’s History Month Series: BH Celebrates Shannon Holman, General Manager for B.HOM Community, Radius Apartments

March 11, 2025 |

In honor of Women’s History Month, we asked BH’ers to nominate women who exemplify the BH values and go above and beyond to provide The Mint Experience. In our second year of this campaign, we received a whopping 105 nominations.

During the month of March, we’re featuring four of the wildly awesome nominees. Our second BH rock star is Shannon Holman, General Manager for B.HOM Community, Radius Apartments in Minneapolis, MN.

Shannon has been in the industry for 20 years, the last five of those with B.HOM. She is known as an exceptional leader who is a pleasure to collaborate with as she exudes contagious positivity. Her optimistic outlook enables her to tackle challenges with grace.

We are celebrating Shannon for representing BH’s value, “Embrace Evolution.” As she stepped into a new role at Radius Apartments earlier this year, her community transitioned from traditional university housing to Off-Campus Student Housing. During this transition, her ability to foster relationships led to securing a 125-bed master lease with the UMN Athletic Department at the launch of their first leasing cycle with B.HOM.

In addition, the community went through a rebrand and is anticipating other renovations this year. Through it all, Shannon has been nothing less than flexible and eager to learn as much as possible. Additionally, she has built a six-person leasing team from the ground up. So many of her incredible traits—leadership, positivity, adaptability, and dedication—shine through in each of her team members. Shannon’s leadership directly correlates to both the team and community’s success.

Shannon said she believes in and incorporates all BH’s core values at work daily. However, her favorite value is “Guts for Greatness.”

“Student housing is complex and challenging at times and rarely easy, but I am passionate about it,” Shannon said. “Creating a welcoming community for the students during their college years brings me joy.”

Her community is essentially in a lease-up for the first time, having previously been a master lease.

“I have the pleasure of leading a team to greatness by providing support in all aspects, such as leasing, new responsibilities, and daily duties, guiding them through challenges and obstacles while maintaining a great relationship with the University,” Shannon said. “Part of making this possible is creating a positive environment for my team to be the best they can be.”

When not working, this mother of three (with one still living at home who will graduate next year) cheers for her daughter at her softball and volleyball games.

Today and every day, we celebrate Shannon for her leadership and positivity. She is a true asset to B.HOM and deserves to be recognized during Women’s History Month.
