In honor of Women’s History Month, we asked BH’ers to nominate women who exemplify the BH values and go above and beyond to provide The Mint Experience. In our third year of this campaign, we received 241 nominations – more than double the amount from last year!
From the large pool of outstanding nominees, we selected four wildly awesome women to feature during the month of March. No easy feat!
Our first BH rock star is Emely Pike, a Strategic Audit Specialist II.
Emely has been with BH for six years. She started as an Assistant Community Manager and worked her way up to a Community Manager role in Multifamily before transitioning to Build-to-Rent. She then had the opportunity to join the Tech Learning & Development/Audits department as a Strategic Audit Specialist.
According to the nomination, “Emely brings a remarkable spirit of curiosity and openness to everything she does. She absorbs information with the enthusiasm of a true learner—eager to hear different perspectives, understand the ‘why’ behind decisions, and grow from every conversation. Her willingness to learn doesn’t just enhance her own work; it enriches the team’s collective understanding. She is also a genuine advocate for others. Emely listens deeply, speaks up for those who need support, and champions fairness and collaboration in every setting. Her empathy and attentiveness make people naturally trust her.”
Over the years, Emely has built amazing connections across BH. She values being part of a strong team and always tries to bring positive energy and encouragement into each day.
Emely’s favorite Core Value is “Hear Every Voice” because she “enjoys working in a collaborative environment where every team member feels heard, diverse perspectives are welcomed, and we work collectively to achieve our goals, even when the path is not easy.”
Emely’s curiosity, compassion, and drive positions her for extraordinary growth. She has the mindset of someone who will continue to evolve, while taking on new challenges with confidence. Emely truly reflects the heart of BH’s Core Values—learning relentlessly and uplifting those around her.
In her free time, Emely wakes up early to give herself time to pause, reflect, and prepare before the day begins. Family is incredibly important to her, and she spends most of her free time with her husband and 9-year-old daughter. They especially love antiquing and spending time at the park.
