The launch this month of BH Fusion+ has helped BH leap into the AI world when it comes to filtering our data and creating business reports.
Using natural language processing and dynamic dashboards, there’s a new navigation and search component to BH Fusion+ that BH’ers are raving about after participating in the platform’s debut demonstration led by Katelin Smith, Senior Director of Data and Analytics.
“Our current goal is to transition from just reacting to the data from the descriptive analytics dashboards we offer today to forecasting what is likely to happen and then acting on that,” BH Chief Data Officer Brandy Daniel said.
Users can search BH Fusion+ via more filters than ever to get what data and reports they need like Location (state, market, or county), Takeover Date, Ownership Group, Renovation Dates and Status, and more. Any BH client or team member can slice and dice the info to meet reporting needs.
BH Community Manager, Larae Jimenez, commented during the demo, “Christmas has come early for us. Wow.”
Brand-new is the AI-driven “Ask Easley” function, which can take the user to whatever data set they are looking for based on keywords – bringing our highest level of simplicity to sorting through BH data. Easley is smart as she knows all the information in our dashboards, but as she works alongside our BH teams and partners she will learn new words and data points and get smarter every day.
“As we learn from her, Easley will learn from us, too,” Daniel says.
Smith says we are releasing Easley to BH and asking for feedback on what she doesn’t know.
“I want to communicate to the team that we are teaching Easley together. This way, we’ll learn what she doesn’t know and use that as an opportunity to teach her. We’ll also learn what data points we may not be collecting in the applications our Development team, led by Director of Software and Analytics Tim Boeschen, have built that are valuable to our team members to help them make decisions.”
BH Fusion + includes a glossary that helps its users understand topics and categories.
“We wanted to both adapt to the way we communicate today and also make it more adaptable to all the types of business we do today,” Smith says.
To be more aligned in how we speak to our customers, our apartments are now listed as “homes,” not “units” and we’ve updated “Property” to “Community,” and “Work Order” to “Service Request.”
To uncover more insights, users can use the mouse to hover over various types of information to trigger the glossary.
When creating reports, information can be displayed as the user wishes, such as with line graphs or tables, and for any given time or timeframe.
Dashboards typically default to 13 months (not 12) because BH knows that what happened the month before the annual spread can be telling.
This launch represents the beginning of a great two-way relationship between our users and Easley. For more information about BH Fusion+, contact us.
